You Don’t Know Me: Regan Grace

Very few players earn three Test Caps in any sport prior to making their First Grade debut, however very few players make the same impact as Port Talbort born, Regan Grace.

WAL
In the lead up to the tournament, we have a look at some of the less known players who are promising to make an impact later this year.

Taking up Rugby League late at age 14 for the Neath Port Talbort Steelers, Regan made an impact immediately and was quickly picked up for the South Wales Academy.  Playing for the Scorpions, Grace scored 13 tries from 11 appearances and was unsurprisingly quickly signed by Super League club St Helens.

Grace proceed to continue to add to his impressive junior records, earning representative honours for the Welsh Under 16’s and Under 18’s sides in the following years before making his Test Debut in 2015 in Wales’ European Championship clash against France in Cardiff.

Grace would go on to earn two more Test caps (Ireland – 2015, Serbia – 2016) whilst also getting the opportunity to feature in St Helens Academy setup.

Regan would finally made his First Grade debut this year on Good Friday against the Wigan Warriors.

At just 20 years of age, Regan will be one of the younger players to feature at this year’s World Cup, but with his remarkable ability to find the try line is almost guaranteed to be on the plane to Port Moresby this October.
